Submitted on 4/25/2017 Review title of LifeonerthSolidly Addictive FunI LOVE these games, much more than I ever expected. The gameplay is solid and fast paced with an engaging and deeply felt storyline, especially if you pay attention to the details. I have typically been more of an RPG/Adventure gamer than playing many shooters, and the gameplay was challenging but also rewarding. I enjoyed the dark sci-fi future apocalypse Russia so much that I plan to read the book now. This felt to me that it had more depth and texture to it than many shooters, and it also just had a certain je ne sais quoi. Just love it.
The price is criminally low, given the makers' obvious love for their game. Dark, crunchy goodness in every bite. Submitted on Review title of TelehumanYears late on my review?♂️?Story, gameplay, atmosphere, game design are PHENOMINAL!!!!!?????????? From the moment I turned on the OG THQ version of this game I was in love and this revamp is extremely impressive to say the least. The recast of Artyom and the fact that he doesnt talk outside his narrations are the only flaws it has imo.
The voice actor, originally casted, was soft-spoken and felt right for the character. The recast is just too over-the-top and corny. Luckily it isnt game breaking or that annoying.just a little disappointing. If Artyom spoke throughout the game, the story would flow that much better. Silent protagonists, especially in story-driven Fps' are a copout imo.
Anyway, I highly recommend this. Its straight GOLD!
