I can't speak for Professor For the most part, Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney is a great combination of the two series. I can't speak for Professor Layton (since I've not played one of those games before this), but the Ace Attorney-style trials are still there, albeit not as engaging. This is an adventure game in which players assume the role of Professor Layton and Phoenix Wright as they investigate a mysterious town. Players can solve puzzles, interact with characters/witnesses, present evidence during a trial, and deduce various mysteries. As players progress through the story, they can trigger cutscenes, some of which depict brief acts of violence (e.g., characters lowered into and/or set on fire, sword fighting against enemies). One still-frame image depicts a murder victim slumped over at a crime scene; small traces of blood are depicted on the body and pieces of evidence. The game sometimes depicts female characters in revealing outfits (e.g., large amounts of exposed cleavage); dialogue occasionally contains suggestive material and innuendo (e.g., “I like being on top” and “You have no idea how delightful it is when Foxy steps on us in her dirty stilettos…”). One character is depicted drunk, swallowing several drinks while swaying and slurring his speech.
