You start as an adventurer, you have 2 exp bars, combat exp and job exp. Once you get a certain job level and combat level, you can pick to change to either a swordsman, mage or archer. Each class has 8 specialist cards you can equip are their respective job level requirements. Each one also has a different element.
You can equip this specialist card and transform into this specialist and u get to play that specialist, a sub class if thats easier to understand. A class within a main class, like a specialisation in mmorpgs.you can switch freely in and out of the class specialist cards. Different quests required to obtain them. You can level them up, and upgrade them, etc. There are no pet classes, there are no partner classes, but like normal character specialist cards, there are partner sp cards. The game does not follow the holy trinity. You can lure and tank as an archer or mage provided you can heal the dmg by potions and have resistance equips to reduce their damage, e.g you have gloves and boots which give 60% resistance to a dark element, so in total 120% dark resistance will significantly reduce any dark element damage, making any class flexible.
Naturally, swordsmans will have more hp, they will be more suitable for tanking and luring, but nowhere near holy trinity. Is good equipment hard? I would say no if you spend a lot of time on certain things, like raid, or TS ( Time Spaced)'good' equipmennts can be obtained mostly from raid, if you refer to the really 'good' equipment; which you will get the box first, and open it with chances:) #RNG4LIFEthere is crafting system, you will need a recipe for certain equipment levels and will required materials like other mmorpg. The recipe can be dropped by killing monsters or bossesagain as Temp mentioned about it, you have to have a really good equips or spend a lot of time in order to do 'solo grinding', and ofc with luck. Originally posted by:I see the class system on nostale site and i am a bit confused, i see that for example death reaper and battle monk are classes on level 80, do i need to play them or i can stay on crusader on level 55 and that to be my end game class? Will i be weaker if i don't advance with next class? When you're level 15 and job level 20, you can choose class between Mage, Swordsman and Archer.
This decision is final and can't be changed. Each class (Mage, Swordsman and Archer) has 8 specialist cards with which you can transform into a specialist (Death Reaper and Battle Monk for example are specialists). When you've aquired the cards, they are in your inventory and you can equip them (only one at a time) and transform into the specialist. You can change the equipped card (and therefore the transformation) whenever and how often you want.To finally reply to the question: No, you don't need to play them.
You're not necessary weaker if you choose to mainly/only play the crusader, but I'd recommend getting every available card and use them fitting to the situation (that's what most players do).Hope I was able to clarify it a bit:). How good is it if there is?So if I solo grind normal monsters, am I able to get 'good' equip if I'm lucky? From solo grinding monsters, you get material. This material can be crafted into a quest item (depending on your level), that allows you to enter a dungeon. This dungeon is rather difficult to clear (at least some of them are), but if you succeed, you get an item called a 'raid seal'.With this seal, you can open a raid team, invite up to 14 other players and do a raid together. If you win, everyone in the team gets a loot chest, and in there you might get 'good items', if you are lucky (there might also be junk in there.).You can of course also buy the boxes without doing the raid, sell the seals and let someone else do the raid, etc.It is not that uncommon in Nostale do trade, e.g. You sell 20 seals and with the money earned you are able to buy one of said 'good items'.But no, you will not drop the good items from the monsters directly. You can, however, drop items that can be used to empower the specialists/subclasses already mentioned and that are thus really valuable. You will need time, you will have to put an effort, you will need to ask other players from time to time for help or advice. Ghostbusters proton pack sound effects. Even the first raid is not that easy and might fail if you are not prepared and it takes months to reach max-lv.However, all that makes the game interesting and fun, the game is not as boring as many others that were on steam recently.:).
